RFScada 16 V3.1 units provide a complete, high-reliability, long-range, spread-spectrum, bi-directional wireless transmission/reception system for remote monitoring and controlling of discrete signals. The states of analog and digital inputs are transmitted from every unit. Each RF16 V3.1 unit also has 9 relay contact outputs and 8 analog outputs.

A system is comprised of 1 to 32 RFScada units (255 with PC Control), and simple configuration at the factory or in the field allows every output on each unit to be driven from any input on any unit for maximum flexibility. Each unit's Modbus capability is also standard for additional control and monitoring options. The RFScada 16 V3.1 system has many applications in the SCADA, oil, gas, water, security and other industrial fields.

The RF16 V3.1 is designed for high-reliability applications, including oilfield tanks, pumps, lift stations, wells, access control, and monitoring. The units provide a cost-effective, alternative solution to overhead or buried cables when connecting to equipment in isolated or inaccessible, remote locations.

Unlike competing models, the RFScada devices maintain continuous, encrypted bi-directional communications. This results in the positive verification of correct operation in all units, plus immediate indication of control and monitoring status at every unit. No more guesswork is needed – other models in the field can let you down. Don't have unknowns or failures caused by "report on exception" and "one-way transmit" type units.

Features

  • Thousands of digital inputs, relay outputs, analog inputs, pulse inputs and analog outputs per system. This means you can easily field configure the unit to route any input to any output.
  • Quickly and easily add wireless I/O to existing systems. The 16ADI is compatible with virtually all SCADA systems, with analog, digital and computer interfacing. The unit is easily expandable in the field to meet future requirements and upgrades.
  • Two analog outputs are standard, but more may be added.
  • High-reliability and industrial-grade with wide temperature range components.
  • Fully bi-directional and continuous signal exchange ensures each unit is capable of controlling, monitoring, and verifying signals at all other units – continuous, positive verification of correct operation.
  • Out-of-the-box plug and play operation, preconfigured to your application and needs. Duplicate remote relays, switches and analog signals without interconnecting wires.
  • The 4ADI-5DO3, 8ADI-9DO,16ADI-9D2AO, RF16 V3.1 can all communicate. Mix the Data Delivery Device units you need to build a complete system.
  • Any unit can be a repeater. Multiple repeater branches and levels may be configured for applications such as pipelines.
  • All units revert to known state upon failure or communication loss – either local or remote – within seconds.
  • Easy-to-use custom surface-mount design increases reliability, flexibility, cost and saves space.
  • Modbus configuration, monitoring and control is integrated. RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces are standard.
  • LED and additional relay output indicates the system state and verified communication status.
  • Dual power supply standard (115 Volts AC or 10- to 28-Volts DC).
  • Range of up to 40 miles with an external antenna. Up to 7 miles of range with standard, enclosed antenna. Non-line-of-sight capabilities with several radio options are available.
  • Completely pre-packaged solution in a corrosion-resistant NEMA 4x enclosure that is ready to be installed. Installation requires power and signal connection for operation. Most applications will not require an external antenna.
  • Spread-spectrum ISM version uses the 900MHz band. This provides much greater range and vastly improved interference rejection than the short-range, congested 2.4GHz consumer band.
  • Spread-spectrum ISM versions require no license of ownership or operation in the United States. Fully FCC approved.
  • 2- and 5-Watt VHF and UHF versions available for extreme range, non-line-of-sight applications.
  • VHF and UHF versions require an FCC license. Let Data Delivery Devices assist with obtaining a license.
  • Highest data integrity with encrypted, secure error-rejecting data communication methods to prevent false signals.
  • LED's indicate every input contact state, every output relay state, RF transmit, RF receive and system/Modbus activity.
  • Integrated control routines for common applications often eliminate the need for additional control logic, PLC or computer.
  • Approximately half the cost of the closest competitive units, and often cheaper than wire.
